Moving an entire research center is an enormous logistical challenge. And at the same time an opportunity for innovation: While planning the relocation logistics to the new pRED Center, Amberg Loglay developed the modular and data-driven software solution MOVEit together with Roche.

Anyone who works on construction sites knows it: despite the best planning, processes come to a standstill. This is exactly where BIM2LOG comes in. The innovative, model-based method brings structure to construction site chaos thanks to digital integration, the use of real-time data and the just-in-time principle.

Since its establishment in 2015, Yvette Körber has been in charge of Amberg Loglay, a company specialising in simulation and data-based logistics planning - a joint venture between the Amberg Group and Loglay AG. For her, the digitalisation of the construction site is the game changer in the construction industry that offers nothing but advantages for everyone involved.

In an interdisciplinary research project funded by Innosuisse, Agency for Innovation Promotion, we have developed an elevator simulator to make optimal use of elevators on construction sites. The project has now been successfully completed.

More transparency on construction sites — this is what the use of data management systems makes possible. Thanks to these, complex processes in projects in construction logistics are clearly presented and planning efficiency is ensured.

With the “Cadmium” software, the construction site has arrived in the digital future. The tool developed by Amberg Loglay and a partner enables BIM-LEAN-LOGISTICS — to display the right material in the right place at the right time and to plan ahead.

Amberg Loglay co-founder Sven-Erik Jacobsen has been working for a long time on the smart city, intelligent, including digital solutions for a better life in metropolitan areas. Innovation is the top priority at Amberg Loglay. With BIM2LOG, the company has created something new for construction logistics planning. Konstantinos Kyrtsonis, who played a significant role in developing the method, explains what this is about and what the big advantage is.

As Chief Technical Officer at Amberg Loglay, Johannes Römpp focuses on the digital. Since 2018, he has been exploring, among other things, the question of how sensors can benefit construction logistics. The sensors developed in-house are now being used on the first major construction sites.

With logistics planning, specialised construction management and CLM software, Amberg Loglay is noticeably increasing the efficiency of the Globus redesign for everyone involved.
